Leann Faulk Disappeared

Leann Faulk disappeared on November 16, 1985 from her home in Prince George's County, MD without a trace. She left behind all of her belongings and her family whom she loved with all of her heart. She did not have a driver's license and did not drive a car. We just started to research this case again after 20 years, this time we won't stop until she is found.

Never Give Up

In handing out posters for Leann's disappearance yesterday I had a lot of people ask me, "why?". Yes, this case is 20 years old, however, a family never stops feeling, never stops loving and never stops caring. As any family with a missing member will tell you, their heart aches and it never goes away with time because there are too many unanswered questions. In this case a younger sibling has come to an age where she wants to know what happened to her sister and she has a friend that supports her so much. Hundreds of hours of research have gone into this case within the past month, before that the family had given up hope that any efforts would be futile. Within the first week of research we found out that one of the original suspects is sitting in a Federal Penitentiary for violent crimes. The person she was last seen with claims several stories of which none match. The friends of Leann are older now with their own children and are willing to share details that were not known when she disappeared. All of this new information could propel this case into being solved and Leann's remains being found. Maybe a far stretch, but what do we have to loose? The family's emotions are still as raw as they were the day they realized she had disappeared. Everytime some calls or emails a tip their hearts start racing. We appeal to the public to reach within your memory and perhaps you may have seen something during the Saturday in November 1985 that could help. Lots of information is sitting in the "puzzle pieces" of her website. If you look closely you will see a story. Please, hang posters, ask around, email the website to all your friends and family. She could be anywhere buried in a shallow grave in the woods, at the bottom of a river, maybe right under our noses or maybe hundreds of miles away. We don't know, but we aren't going to give up, not now that we had the case brought to life again. Let's keep her case alive!

You are right. Once you have had a family member or friend disappear without knowing where they are and what happened you will know the hurt, the wondering. I'm sorry for your loss. I grew up in Prince Georges County and never heard about this case until the Maryland Missing Persons Day event. I will keep her and her family and friends in my prayers in hope you will find her and bring her home.
